Edward’s retirement

In June 2025 we bid a fond farewell to Edward Pascoe as he retires. At 71 years of age he deserves a well earned break.Edward (Retired) - Senior Accountant

Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1987 whilst working in A J Paul, (Redruth) helping in an expanding practice, Edward became a partner in Pryor Begent and Fry Co in 1990 based in Hayle. Edward took over the Hayle office in it’s entirety in 1995.

Many of the clients from when Edward first joined the firm are still there or have been succeeded by their children upon their retirement. The vast majority of clients were obtained through personal recommendation, many through family links. Most clients were based in West Cornwall but some were outside the county with a number in London.

In 2024 Howards Accountants bought Pryor Begent and Fry co Hayle, shortly after Edward began semi-retirement. Over the last year Edward has been enjoying handing the client base over to the team at Howards Accountants, but still getting time to jet off on sunshine holidays. I am sure there will be more of these to come.

Edward is planning to stay actively involved in his on stage performances, he has been the dame for many years in a variety of different shows. Edward also plans on walking many of the stunning coastal paths of Cornwall, going to shows and generally enjoying his time off. We are fairy certain that he will soon wonder how he ever found time to work.

 

Edward wanted to send a special thanks to all of the team who have worked for him or with him. And of course an extra special thank you to all of the clients who have trusted him over the years with their financial affairs.

Edward’s retirement was always part of the plan when Howards Accountants took over the business. Over the last year Edward has given us information about each of the clients.
